Teach and be taught… A heated battle of men teaching is underway!
6:30, early morning. Despite being in a quiet, affluent neighborhood of Tokyo, the passionate men were in high spirits. “Well, I was running late, so I tried to make up for it by going down a back alley, but I failed,” Eguchi said as he greeted the crowd in the morning, to which Nino laughed, “Hahaha…” Tortoise was chatting with a woman from the neighborhood who was walking her dog. While the staff were setting up the equipment, today’s actors were immediately on standby and ready to go. Maintaining a level of excitement, they continued their conversation. “Suga Shikao was a salaryman and made his debut after he was 30. That’s an interesting career,” Tortoise said, to which Eguchi replied, “That sounds like Sano Motoharu.” Nino listens intently, nodding in agreement with the musicians. Then the setup is complete. The shooting begins!
Eguchi wraps the towel for his costume around his head. While putting on his own towel Nino offers guidance, “You do this by lifting up the bottom part and tying it up.” “Oh, really? (immediately putting into practice) Oh, that’s good, that’s good,” replied Eguchi with great satisfaction. “I learned it during concert rehearsals,” said Nino proudly, but Eguchi immediately hits back. “But you know, if you knew it, you should have told me right away. This was right before filming,” Nino reacted with a wry smile, “Hahaha…” It seems these two aren’t only fiery rivals in the story, but even in real life!? After shooting a few scenes, Tortoise is in top form. “I remember watching Easy Rider when I was 17 years old. It’s seriously the best,” he said, giving Nino some educational guidance. “Yeah, Jack Nicholson is good,” Eguchi pipes in, narrowing his eyes. The men’s excitement grew even more as they continued to teach each other, and filming ended one hour earlier than planned.
