Masahiro Matsuoka returns as Nurseman--a dodgy man turned nurse. In this special, a newbie nurse played by Sakurai Sho joins him on his adventures. Telling the emotional stories of several patients, including a dying old woman and a chronically ill child.

I rather enjoyed this special despite not having seen the original drama. It’s not particularly unique, but it had some touching moments. I liked Masahiro Matsuoka much better in this show than Heaven Cannot Wait–although he still plays a bit of a putz, I felt more warmth and humor here, which suits him. Sho’s character wasn’t my fave of his, but I do think he suits the nurse role.
