Ninomiya Kazunari (Ninomiya Kazunari) just moved into Tokyo from Hokkaido and is already looking for a girlfriend. When he sees his so called "soulmate", Aiba Miwa, he immediately wants to get close to her. He joins the volleyball team, thinking there was a boys team. He soon discovers that there was no boys team and becomes the manager of the girls team alongside Matsumoto Jun (Matsumoto Jun) and Ohno Satoshi (Ohno Satoshi). In order to stay close to Miwa, Ninomiya agrees to play volleyball with Matsumoto and Ohno, being coached by Miwa's older brother Aiba Masaki (Aiba Masaki). With all this going on, Ninomiya is suspicious of Miwa and Sakurai Sho's (Sakurai Sho) relationship. Sakurai is a cool kid, who Ninomiya hates, who has a mysterious history with volleyball.

Ninomiya Kazunari (played by Ninomiya Kazunari (Arashi))
A second-year student at Seika Academy High School, he is a transfer student from Hokkaido. He has a simple personality and is a joker who gets excited easily. On his first day at the school, he wears a blazer instead of the Seika Academy uniform. He also dresses like a street performer twice.He has a crush on Aiba's sister, Mikwa.

Sakurai Sho (played by Sakurai Sho (Arashi))
A second-year student at Seika Academy High School. He has an intelligent and detached personality. He is often seen poring over books or magazines. He is the most popular student at Seika Academy, and had a fan club called the "Sakurai Fan Club" that ran a website, which was previously disbanded. He enrolled at Seika Academy because there was no boys' volleyball club.

Aiba Masaki (played by Aiba Masaki (Arashi))
A third-year student at Seika Academy High School, and Miwa Aiba's older brother. He's usually a straightforward person, but his personality changes when it comes to volleyball. He can always be seen carrying a bamboo sword and unzipped training shirt during intensive training. He tells anyone, "Please take care of my sister." The injury that caused him to quit volleyball was a broken wrist. He's been accepted to Waseda University on recommendation, and offers to teach Ohno volleyball in exchange for sharing his know-how (he also threatens to send a mysterious letter to Waseda University if Ohno runs away, preventing his admission). However, his know-how is highly questionable.

Jun Matsumoto (played by Jun Matsumoto (Arashi))
A second-year student at Seika Academy High School, he is the manager of the girls' volleyball team. After reading Junko Sasaki's "Ace!" in Ribon, he developed an aspiration to play volleyball. However, he lacks stamina and athletic ability, and often gets hit in the face. His family lives in Matsumoto General Hospital, near the station, and is wealthy.His father is always pressuring him to take over the family business and pursue a career in medicine.

Satoshi Ohno (played by Satoshi Ohno (Arashi))
A second-year student at Seika Academy High School, manager of the girls' volleyball team. He is a member of the volleyball team with the goal of gaining recommendation admission to Waseda University, and he studies even during club activities.
Before a match against the girls' team, he changes his glasses to contact lenses to avoid showing any hesitation on his face. Initially, he wears a helmet during volleyball practice. He has a crush on the school nurse.

Yutaka Fujimoto (played by Hiroshi Abe)
Age 34. A physical education teacher at Seika Academy High School and coach of the volleyball team. He sometimes makes his students run around the schoolyard as an example. His longest run is 133 laps. He doesn't listen to what others say.

Suguru Tabata (played by Wataru Takasugi)
Age 30. Convenience store manager. He used to be in a band, and what he intended as a part-time job turned into his full-time job. His father is a deep-sea fisherman. The five members of Arashi often stop by the convenience store, where they are seen freely sitting or lying down on the floor, or even sitting inside the register.

Aiba Miwa (played by Kitagawa Hiromi)

A second-year student at Seika Academy High School, Aiba Masaki's younger sister, and captain of the girls' volleyball team.

Matsumoto Shozo (played by Shimotsuka Makoto):
Director of Matsumoto General Hospital and father of Matsumoto Jun.

Tachibana Yumiko (played by Nojima Chika)
A school nurse at Seika Academy High School. She is the most beautiful girl in school and the object of Ohno's unrequited love.
