Gakibara Teikoku 2000! was a Johnny’s variety show that ran on TBS from April-December 2000. In January-March 2001, it was renamed Gakibara!. In April 2001, it was revamped as "USO!? Japan".
The show was hosted by Tackey and Tsubasa and starred Arashi, Kansai Jrs. and other JE members. It aired on every Saturday at 20:00-20:54. It had a variety of different corners including Arashi Exam Squad Sentai Heroes (basically Arashi Power Rangers), Prince Tackey, a dating type show, among others.

This whole segment was so odd even though I enjoyed seeing Nino as a Mummy. It seemed very damaging for the child and I’m not sure the psychology behind this is sound…….of course I don’t blame Arashi for doing their job, especially at this young age. There are definitely entertaining aspects but I couldn’t feel fully comfortable, I’m sure Nino didn’t in that costume either.
